Today’s Prompt: Favorite Hope Quote: What’s your favorite quote about hope, and how does it apply to your Headaches or Migraines?
I have lived with chronic migraine and daily persistent headaches for more than 13 years. The longer I suffer the more reclusive I become. I very rarely make plans, as I don’t feel I’ll be able to keep them. I very rarely try to do anything physical, as I don’t want to aggravate my pain. I can’t tell you the last time I saw a migraine specialist, as I don’t have insurance and the visit and response to meds is always disappointing. I hardly blog anymore, as I’m no longer motivated. Reading this quote, today, in search of a favorite hope quote made me realize that i’ve ceased to expect anything from tomorrow…how sad. This has to change.
“Where there is life there is hope,” is another quote I came across. Going forward that will be the one I adopt as my favorite hope quote. Each day I wake will be seen as another opportunity to LIVE not just EXIST despite chronic migraine disease.
Today despite having a #5 migraine, I’m going to pop some pills, put on my sunglasses and go with my husband to the beach. This may be insane. I’ll probably cause a whammy and end up vomiting. But I love the beach. Today I’m going to live despite chronic migraine.
