Dare to Live Despite Chronic Migraine – MHAM Blog Challenge: Day 27

Today’s prompt: “Dare You” Derek Hough and Amy Purdy dance to this inspiring song by Hardwell

What an inspiration! This video (see below), gave me goose bumps. I was so moved by the song, the emotion shared by the couple and Amy’s passion, that I looked up her story. What a dynamic woman!

Amy’s life and motto dares us to go beyond, and remove, our cage-of-limitations. She encourages us to step out of our “cells” and try something new, something we never thought we could do. How? She stated that hard work and passion can help us to achieve even what we consider impossible.

This prompt, and all the others I’ve completed thus far, helped me to realise that I need to readjust my mindset. Amy didn’t sit and mourn for who she was prior to losing her legs. She accepted her new circumstances, immediately started looking for avenues to accomplish her goals and recreated herself and the world around her. If she can do it so can we.
